A move to the complex housing market of San Francisco became an incentive to join the community of co-living units around the Bay Area. Located in the increasingly gentrified area of Dogpatch, Bolwerk is the name of a refurbished warehouse housing a collective of 6 residents.

With side walls that are shared with neighbouring buildings, the lack of natural light is similar to that inside of a boat hull, lending the idea for a boat like interior in birch plywood.

It was executed as a side project during the quarantine, designed and built by myself.
